Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC) and Partnership Gwinnett are hosting The Heart Truth: An In-Depth Investigation, a free breakfast event on heart health, including ways to stay healthy and prevent heart disease.
The event includes a keynote speaker from Gwinnett Medical Center’s Cardiology department and a panel of speakers from Diabetes & Nutrition Education Center, Gwinnett SportsRehab and the Emergency Department at GMC. 
Funds donated will go to the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation, which raises funds for hospital projects such as Children Services, Cancer Care and open heart services, and Partnership Gwinnett, an economic development plan launched by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce that will serve to create more than 65,000 new jobs and $5.8 million in net wealth in Gwinnett within the next five years, to assist with economic development and physician recruitment in Gwinnett County.
GMC will also provide an update on the open heart program and next steps in the planning process.
